Overview 

Adacel vaccine is used to prevent serious bacterial infections such as diphtheria (infection caused by the strain of bacteria), tetanus (a bacterial toxin that affects your nervous system), and pertussis (whooping cough). This injection boosts the immune system to fight against microorganisms. Adacel vaccine is a combination of three vaccines: Diphtheria Toxoid, Tetanus Toxoid, and Pertussis Toxoid. 

Usage 

Adacel vaccine is administered to children aged 11 or 12 years and in adults 12-64 years to provide immunization to fight against the infection. This vaccine helps the immune system to produce antibodies. It is available as a single-dose vial and the Adacel vaccine is administered as an injection under the skin or into the muscle of the arm (upper-side). It is highly advised to not self-administer the vaccine.
