Overview  

Stivarga (Regorafenib) tablet is used in the treatment of liver cancer and colorectal cancer. This tablet works by blocking the action of an abnormal protein that multiplies the cancer cells. It is also used to treat a type of tumor that can affect the stomach, esophagus, or intestines. Do not take this medicine in the wrong way as it may lead to some severe side effects. It is advisable not to change or stop the dose without taking suggestions from your doctor. If you experience any symptoms while receiving this medicine, inform your doctor immediately. Pharmacodynamics of Stivarga  

Stivarga is a small molecule inhibitor of multiple membrane-bound and intracellular kinases involved in normal cellular functions and pathologic processes such as oncogenesis, tumor angiogenesis, and maintenance of the tumor microenvironment. Stivarga 40 mg tablet has demonstrated anti-angiogenic activity in a rat tumor model and inhibition of tumor growth as well as anti-metastatic activity in several mouse xenograft models including some for human colorectal carcinoma. 

Usage of Stivarga 

Stivarga (Regorafenib) tablet is used to treat metastatic colorectal cancer and a type of liver cancer called hepatocellular carcinoma. This medicine works by stopping the growth of cancer cells. Take this medicine with or without food at the same time every day. Do not miss your regular dosing schedule. The recommended dose is decided by a doctor according to your previous medical condition and response to the treatment. Regular blood tests are required during treatment with this medicine. Do not crush or break the tablet and swallow the whole tablet with a glass of water.
