Overview 

Thalix (Thalidomide) capsule is used in the treatment of multiple myeloma and lepra reactions. This medicine kills the cancer cells and helps to prevent their growth in the body. It is important to take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. Dosage is based on your medical condition and your response to the treatment. Do not take this medicine in the wrong way as it may lead to some severe side effects. Pharmacodynamics 

Thalidomide is an immunomodulatory agent with a spectrum of activity that is not fully characterized. Thalidomide contains both left and right-handed isomers in equal amounts: one enantiomer is effective against morning sickness, and the other is teratogenic. The cellular processes of angiogenesis inhibited by Thalix may include the proliferation of endothelial cells. After the oral administration, the effect of this medicine can be observed in 2-5 hours.  

Usage 

Thalix (Thalidomide) belongs to a group of medications that affects how your immune system works. This capsule modulates the activity of the body’s immune system and helps in attacking the cancer cells. Take a Thalix capsule on an empty stomach with a glass of water. It is advisable not to change or stop the dose without taking suggestions from your doctor. Avoid the consumption of alcohol while having treatment with this medicine because it may increase the risk of excessive drowsiness.
