What is Cervical Cancer?
It is a type of cancer which grows in the cervix. If there is an irregular cell growth in the cervix region, then there is a possibility that these irregular cells are able to spread over other organs of the body. It is not identified in initial stages and symptoms are very common and unnoticeable by many. When it progresses then the symptoms become more noticeable and known like irregular vaginal bleeding, pelvic pain, or pain during sexual intercourse.
These symptoms must not be ignored and reported/ consulted to the doctors immediately
It is very sad to know that in India more than 125k women are diagnosed with cervical cancer and nearly 70k cannot survive which is appx 45% is the survival ratio in such cases
This cancer affects the cervix in a female which is the lower part of the uterus situated between the external opening and internal outlet. The cervical canal connects the interior of the vagina and the uterus

If cervical cancer is suspected, doctor is likely to start with an intensive checkups and examination of the cervix here are the some methods which are used to detect the cervical cancer by the doctors. It is advisable to undergo PAP Smear Test for the examination of this disease.
The mostly used medicines in Cervical Cancer are Olaparib (Lynparza), Rucaparib and Niraparib (Zejula)
