Apretero (Aprepitant) capsule is used in the treatment of nausea or vomiting which patients experience as side effects caused due to chemotherapy or anti-cancer treatment. This medicine is responsible for sending the signal directly to the brain that produces the feeling of nausea or vomiting. This dosage of Apretero is prescribed by your doctor according to your medical condition and can be used with other medicines. You need to keep taking this medicine until your doctor recommends you. If you stop the treatment too early, then you might start experiencing the same symptoms once again and they might also get worse.
Aprepitant which is an antiemetic is a substance P/neurokinin 1 (NK1) receptor antagonist that when combined with other antiemetic agents, assists in preventing acute and delayed nausea and vomiting related to the beginning and repetitive treatment of most nauseant cancer chemotherapy. Aprepitant is a particular exorbitant associative antagonist of human substance P/neurokinin 1 (NK1) receptors. Has little or no uniformity for serotonin (5-HT3), dopamine, and corticosteroid receptors, which target existing therapies for chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CI NV).
