Posid (Etoposide) is used to treat certain types of cancer (small cell lung cancer, acute leukemia, bladder cancer, cancer of testicles). It works by suppressing the activity of an enzyme involved in DNA. It helps to stop the growth of cancer cells. It is given as an infusion into the vein. Do not self administer this medicine. Take this medicine as prescribed by your medical advisor. Your doctor will decide the exact dosage. Do not take this medicine in the wrong way as it may lead to some severe side effects.
