Zybiraa 250mg tablet is a hormone therapy medication that is used to treat prostate cancer in men. Abiraterone acetate is the generic name of the medicine. It is an anti-androgen that functions by suppressing androgen production. It is only meant for treating prostate cancer in men and should not be prescribed to women.

Zybiraa 250mg tablet inhibits CYP17enzyme, which as a result inhibits the synthesis of androgens. Therefore, Zybiraa stops the tumor cells' uncontrollable cell growth and metastasis.CYP17 is the enzyme that catalyzes the formation of the androgens. In cancer, abnormal signaling increases the androgen levels, leading to uncontrollable cell growth in the prostate gland.
