Osicent 80mg tablets are target therapy medications. The generic name of this medication is Osimertinib and it is used for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer. It is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor of EGFR and is used to treat stage 4 of this lung cancer.

Pharmacodynamics

Osicent is an anticancer medicine that is an EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor. EGFR stands for epidermal growth factor receptor. It is used to treat non-small cell lung cancer which has mutated EGFR. The mutation in EGFR consequently leads to uncontrollable growth of the cancerous cells. Osicent binds to the EGFR and blocks its actions. Therefore, it leads to inhibition of the growth and spreading of cancer cells.
