This medicine contains an active ingredient Palbociclib that belongs to a group of cancer-fighting medications called protein kinase inhibitors. It works by blocking the action of chemicals that cause cancer cells to divide and grow.
It is used in the combination with another medicine, like fulvestrant, in patients with disease progression following endocrine therapy and an aromatase inhibitor as initial endocrine-based therapy in postmenopausal women or in men. How It Works
Paleno 100mg, an anticancer medicine, work by inhibiting cyclin-dependent kinase 4 and 6; as a result, cell growth ceases or stops, arresting the cancer cell cycle. Cyclin-dependent kinase 4 and 6 (chemical messengers) play an essential role in downstream signaling pathways, which lead to the proliferation of cells.
It also disrupts the cell cycle by targeting estrogen (hormone) receptor-positive breast cancer cells.
