Sutinat 12.5mg Capsule

Sutinat 12.5 mg capsules are a targeted cancer medication that contains sunitinib that works to stop cancer from growing and cut off blood flow to cancer cells by blocking tyrosine kinases. Sutinat is mainly used to treat metastatic kidney cancer (renal cell carcinoma), imatinib-resistant gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST), and pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (pNET) and may be used to treat some thyroid cancers.

The capsules are to be taken orally at a specific time, swallowed whole, and dosed according to the type of cancer and the individual patient by a doctor. Although fatigue, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and skin discoloration are common side effects, severe risks include heart failure, liver damage, and hypertension, which should be monitored closely with regular blood tests. Sutinat is not recommended for use in pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
