Side effects are undesirable symptoms that can result from any medical treatment. Like any other medicine, Tegonat Capsule also causes some adverse impact on the body, most of which resolve without any medical attention.
Some common side effects include:

• Bone marrow suppression
• Acute renal failure
• Diarrhea
• Dehydration
• Electrolyte imbalance
• Lacrimation (flow of tears)

Seek medical attention in case of any unusual or severe side effects immediately.

• Take Tegonat Capsule in the dosage and duration exactly as prescribed by the doctor.
• The medicine should be taken orally on an empty stomach or can be consumed one hour before or two hours after a meal. In case of an overdose, contact your doctor immediately.​​
  

• Tegonat Capsule is an anticancer medicine with combination of active ingredients such as tegafur, gimeracil, and oteracil. Tegafur changes into its active form, 5-fluorouracil (5-FU), which stops the growth of cancer cells and inhibits the synthesis and function of genetic material DNA and RNA.
• Gimeracil supports high doses of 5-FU against cancer cells by preventing its degradation. Oteracil reduces the gastrointestinal toxicity of 5-FU.​​
