How far in advance should I place my order for specialty medicines?

Accepted Answer

If the medicine is in stock in the country, it is recommended that you should place your refill order at least 5-7 days before when you will finish your existing stock. However, if the medicine is to be imported from another country or procured from specific outlets it is advised that you place your order at least 15-21 days in advance. In some instances, lead times are longer due to high demand or scarcity of the specific drug and our team will be able to advise you on specific lead times for your medication when the first order is placed.

How does Magicine ensure I never miss a dose?

Accepted Answer

It's for this continuous treatment that we are in existence. Once we receive the first order we keep track of your therapy cycles and the expected date on which your refill is to be done. Before the medicine is over we will then prompt you and seek your confirmation for the next refill. If the treatment is on a continuous basis we would like to create a standing recurring medicine order that will be processed and shipped to you so you do not need to put the whole order process on again.

Question 3

What if my treatment is altered mid-course while a refill has already been prepared and dispatched?

If there be any change in your treatment, medication or dosage during the period, kindly notify us as soon as you get the change instructions. If your medicine has already been dispatched, we will investigate if the medicine can be cancelled/returned and if it can, arrange for the same. If a different medicine is required to be sent by us then the order for that will be prioritized and if available at the PAP or any assistance scheme it will be indicated by us.

Question 4

Can I schedule recurring orders for monthly treatments?

Accepted Answer

Yes, for fixed monthly treatments such as ARVs, immunosuppressants or oral chemotherapy medications etc, you can establish a recurring medicine order with us. Just forward us your prescription and monthly treatment cycle requirements and we shall attend to dispatch the required medicines on a regular interval.

Question 5

Will I receive an alert for re-order of my medicine?

Accepted Answer

Yes, once you place an order, we shall maintain records of when to expect the expiry of your medicines and we will keep you alerted on timely interval via WhatsApp/ SMS/ Call (as per your choice) whenever it is time for your to place a re-order when your stock runs out. We will duly alter the reminder option of yours as and when desired.

Question 6

What should I do in case of emergency?

In cases of emergency, please either call or text us on our WhatsApp and explain your requirement. Critically-cared cases will receive priority for supply, processing and dispatch to ensure timely availability of medicines, if with holding the medication may cause damage to health. Though it may not be feasible for us to commit to exact delivery time frames or immediate availability since it may be tied up to supply chain mechanisms, we will however endeavor to get the required medicines to you at the earliest possible time frame.
