• An anti-angiogenic medication, Avastin 400mg injection, works by blocking vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), which is a protein.
• It basically functions by cutting the oxygen supply and nutrients to cancerous cells by stopping the formation of blood vessels that supply them.

It is advised to use effective birth control methods and avoid pregnancy during the treatment with Avastin.

Monitor your blood sugar & pressure, Kidney & Liver function (KFT & LFT), Heart function at proper intervals after taking Avastin 400mg injection

Swelling of hands, lips, and weight gain are some of the side effects observed after taking Avastin. To reduce them, the doctor may suggest some medication.

Skin becomes extremely sensitive after taking the Avastin injection. It is advised to cover your skin exposed to direct sun rays and use high SPF sunscreen before going out.

In case you notice symptoms like blurred vision, difficulty breathing, cough & fever, and diarrhea while taking Avastin injection, consult your doctor immediately before these symptoms become severe.

Taking Avastin 400mg injection can lower your ability to heal wounds rapidly. So avoid doing such activities that can lead to bruising and wounds. Inform your doctor if you are going an emergency surgical procedure.

If you experience any kind of symptoms after taking Avastin 400mg injection like unexplained bruising or bleeding, sore throat, mouth ulcers, high temperature (fever), or other signs of infection, it is important to Inform your doctor as soon as possible.
