Overview  

Boostrix vaccine is a combination of three vaccines: Diphtheria Toxoid, Tetanus Toxoid, and Pertussis Toxoid. This vaccine is used to prevent serious bacterial infections such as diphtheria (infection caused by the strain of bacteria), tetanus (a bacterial toxin that affects your nervous system), and pertussis (whooping cough). It boosts the immune system to fight against microorganisms. 

Usage 

Boostrix vaccine is administered to individuals aged 10 years and older to provide immunization to fight against the infection. This vaccine helps the immune system to produce antibodies. It is available as a single-dose vial and the Boostrix vaccine is administered as an injection under the skin or into the muscle of the arm (upper-side). It is highly advised to not self-administer the vaccine.
