About The Product
Breast Cancer
Epirubicin 10mg injection is used in the treatment of various types of cancers (breast cancer, blood cancer, stomach cancer, and lung cancer). This medicine belongs to a group of cancer-fighting medications known as antineoplastics, and specifically to the class of drugs known as anthracyclines. It works by suppressing the activity of (topoisomerase II) involved in the DNA multiplication of breast cancer cells. It is important to take Epitero injection as prescribed by your doctor. The recommended dose of Epitero injection is decided by a doctor according to your previous medical condition and response to the treatment. This medicine is given as an infusion into your vein.
Description
Epirubicin is an anthracycline cytotoxic agent. Although it is known that anthracyclines can interfere with several biochemical and biological functions within eukaryotic cells, the precise mechanisms of Epirubicin's cytotoxic and/or antiproliferative properties have not been completely elucidated.
It forms a complex with DNA by intercalation of its planar rings between nucleotide base pairs, with consequent inhibition of nucleic acid (DNA and RNA) and protein synthesis.
