Overview

Gemtero (Gemcitabine 1g) injection is used in the treatment of Non-small cell lung cancer, Breast cancer, Pancreatic cancer, Bladder cancer, and Ovarian Cancer. This medication works by destroying cells undergoing DNA synthesis. Do not use this injection without taking permission from your doctor. This medicine can also be used in combination with other medications as supervised by your doctor. It is advisable not to change or stop your dose without taking suggestions from your doctor. Take this medicine as your doctor set your dosing schedule to get the most benefit from it. Do not take this medicine in the wrong way as it may cause some severe side effects. 

Pharmacodynamics of Gemtero (Gemcitabine 1g Injection)

Gemtero kills cells undergoing DNA synthesis and blocks the progression of cells through the G-1/S-phase boundary. The total dose varied from 500 to 3600mg/m2. Short infusions and long infusions last from 70 to 285 minutes. The volume of distribution increased with infusion length. The volume of distribution is 50L/m2 the following infusion lasts for 70 minutes. For long infusions, the volume of distribution rose to 370L/m2.
