About The Product

  • Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC)
  • Small Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC)
  • Biliary Tract Cancer (BTC)
  • Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC)
  • Endometrial Cancer
  • Imfinzi (durvalumab), 500 mg, belongs to the group of immunotherapy medications.
  • The mechanism of action includes inhibition of the PD-L1 protein that increases the efficacy of the immune response toward the tumor.
  • It is primarily prescribed for several advanced cancers.
  • In lung cancer, it is used for adults with unresectable Stage III non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that has not progressed after chemoradiation, and in combination with Tremelimumab and chemotherapy for metastatic NSCLC. For extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (SCLC), it is given alongside etoposide and carboplatin or cisplatin.
  • In biliary tract cancers, including bile duct and gallbladder cancer, it is combined with gemcitabine and cisplatin. It also plays a role in treating advanced or unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (liver cancer), often with bevacizumab, and is used with carboplatin and paclitaxel for mismatch repair deficient (dMMR) advanced or recurrent endometrial cancer.
  • Moreover, Imfinzi may be used to treat selected instances of invasive bladder cancer.
  • It is injected intravenously, and treatment is carried out until the disease progresses or side effects occur.
  • While it is beneficial, it has risks that are associated with immune reactions on organs such as the lungs, liver, gastrointestinal system, kidneys, and endocrine glands.
