Lung cancer

Pemetrexed injection is used in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer. This injection works by disrupting the cancer cell multiplication. This medication is given by your doctor or nurse. Take this medicine according to your doctor’s dosing schedule. Do not take this medicine in the wrong way as it may lead to some severe side effects. Close monitoring of blood cell count and kidney function is required during treatment with this medicine. 

Description

Pemeta inhibits the in vitro growth of mesothelioma cell lines (MSTO-211H, NCI-H2052). Pemetrexed is an antifolate containing the pyrrolopyrimidine-based nucleus that exerts its antineoplastic activity by disrupting the folate-dependent anti-metabolic process essential for cell replication.

Pemeta was administered as a single agent in doses ranging from 0.2 to 838mg/m2 infused over 10 minutes. ​
