Rinowel medicine is used to treat colon or rectal cancer. It belongs to the group of cancer-fighting medications known as antineoplastic. This medication works by suppressing the activity of topoisomerase I involved in DNA. This helps to slow down the growth of cancer cells. 

Description

​ Rinowel medicine is an antineoplastic enzyme inhibitor primarily used in the treatment of colon or rectal cancer. Irinotecan is a semisynthetic derivative of camptothecin.

Camptothecins interact specifically with topoisomerase I, an enzyme in the cell nucleus that regulates DNA topology and facilitates nuclear processes such as DNA replication, recombination, and repair. ​
