Description
Entavir 1mg tablet is an antiviral medication used to treat Chronic Hepatitis B Virus Infection in the body. Entavir 1mg tablet is an antiviral medicine that contains 1mg of Entecavir chemical based salt. Entecavir is a nucleoside analogue that, after activation within infected liver cells, selectively inhibits hepatitis B viral DNA polymerase, thereby blocking viral DNA synthesis. It primarily suppresses viral replication and reduces viral load, which in turn helps minimize liver inflammation and slow disease progression. While entecavir effectively controls hepatitis B, it does not reliably eradicate the virus; long-term treatment is typically required, and complete viral clearance is rare.

Consult your doctor for your exact dosage and its timing.
Mechanism Of Action
Entavir 1mg tablet contains Entecavir salt that attacks the viral replication machinery in the host's body. Entecavir stops viral replication mainly by being converted inside infected cells into an active form that directly inhibits the viral RNA polymerase enzyme, preventing the virus from copying its genetic material correctly. Entecavir also increases mutations in viral RNA, causing the production of defective viruses, and modulates the immune response to enhance antiviral activity. As a result, it reduces viral load in the body, reduces viral inflammation, controls virus progression as well as ultimately eradicating virus traces in the body.
