Esomac 40mg Tablet is proton pump inhibitor prescribed by the doctor that is mainly used to reduce stomach acid production for treating conditions like gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers, erosive esophagitis, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.Esomac 40mg Tablet contains Esomeprazole that prevents both basal and stimulated acid production, resulting in long-lasting anti secretory effects that continue for more than 24 hours until new pumps are produced.

Mechanism Of Action
Esomac 40mg Tablet contains Esomeprazole inhibits the last stage of acid secretion into the stomach lumen permanently by covalently binding to sulfhydryl groups on the H+/K+-ATPase enzyme (proton pump) at the secretory surface in the acidic environment of gastric parietal cells. Regardless of the stimulus (such as histamine or gastrin), this prevents both basal and stimulated acid production, resulting in long-lasting anti secretory effects that continue for more than 24 hours until new pumps are produced.
