About The Product
Breast Cancer
Letrozole 2.5mg tablet is used to treat postmenopausal women with hormone receptor-positive early breast cancer. This medicine belongs to a class of drugs known as aromatase inhibitors. Femara tablets help to decrease the estrogen levels in the body and stop the growth of breast cancer cells. Regular monitoring of cholesterol levels is required during treatment with this medicine.
Description
Letrozole 2.5mg Tablet is an aromatase inhibitor used in the treatment of breast cancer. Aromatase inhibitors work by inhibiting the action of the enzyme aromatase, which converts androgens into estrogens by a process called aromatization.
As breast tissue is stimulated by estrogens, decreasing their production is a way of suppressing the recurrence of breast tumor tissue. After the administration, the effect of this medicine can be observed in 2 to 6 weeks.
