How It Works

The CYP19A1 enzyme is blocked by the non-steroidal competitive aromatase inhibitor Fempro. As a result, the production of estrogen from androgens is stopped.

The cancers that rely on estrogen, a natural female hormone, decrease in number as its levels decline.

Some breast tumors that require estrogen to grow are less likely to spread when taken with these medications.
