Description
Pivikto 150mg Tablet is an anticancer medicine with active ingredient Alpelisib which belongs to the class of drug known as kinase inhibitor. It is prescribed to treat breast cancer such as hormone receptor (HR)-positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-negative, PIK3CAmutated, advanced or breast cancer that has spread to other organs.
This tablet is usually given together with hormonal anticancer medicines. It works by inhibiting the particular signals to control the progression of cancer. It should be taken in dose and duration as advice by the doctor. Don't take more than the recommended dose.

How To Use

- This capsule should be swallowed as a whole with water and do not crush, chew, or open it. It is usually taken once a day, with or without food, at a fixed time each day. Don't miss a dose or double the dose to compensate for the missed dose.
How It Works
- Pivikto 150mg Tablet is an anticancer medicine with active ingredient Alpelisib which belongs to the class of drug known as kinase inhibitor. As this medicine is a phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase (PI3K) kinase inhibitor which mainly blocks PI3K-alpha.
- By inhibiting PI3K this medicine enhances the transcription of receptors for estrogen in breast cancer cells. These enzymes help in the growth and proliferation of cancer cells. It may reduce the growth and spread of cancer and help in the destruction of cancer cells by stopping their action.
