What happens if I miss a dose of Tafero-EM?

If you miss a scheduled dose of Tafero EM tablets, take it as soon as you remember. If it’s nearly time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular routine. Do not take two tablets at once to make up for the missed dose. Contact your doctor for any query.

HIV Infection

Tafero EM is a generic medication containing emtricitabine and tenofovir alafenamide and is intended for use in adults and adolescents above 12 years old with a body weight equal to or greater than 35 kilograms. Tafero EM is administered orally on a daily basis, with or without food, and acts as a reverse transcriptase inhibitor, thereby preventing replication of HIV‑1.

Not only does Tafero EM prevent the spread of infection along with other antiretroviral medicines, but it may also be used as a form of PrEP (pre‑exposure prophylaxis) for those individuals who have an increased risk of being infected. Although not a cure for HIV, Tafero EM provides effective control and enhances the immune response of an individual.
