Telma ACT 40/5/12.5mg tablet is an antihypertensive combination medicine. The medicine is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults.

It contains three active ingredient is Telmisartan in (40mg) concentration, Amlodipine in (5mg) concentration and Chlorthalidone in (12.5mg) concentration. They together work to lower the blood pressure effectively, decrease strain on the heart, and lower the risk of cardiovascular complications such as heart attack or stroke.

Doctor's prescription is mandatory before using the tablet to avoid complications during the treatment.​

How It Works

  • Telma ACT 40/5/12.5mg tablet contains three drugs that lowers blood pressure by Angiotensin-II (constricts vessels), inhibiting calcium entry into muscles (relaxes vessels), and reducing excess fluid/sodium.
  • Telmisartan(40mg) acts as an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) which preventing vasoconstriction and narrowing of blood vessels. Amlodipine (5mg) is a calcium channel blocker that prevents calcium from entering vascular smooth muscle cells, causing blood vessels to relax and widen.
  • Chlorthalidone (12.5mg) is a thiazide like diuretic that reducing fluid volume and improving blood flow.

Driving
