Prostate cancer is treated with the anti-androgen medication ZYTIGA 250MG TABLET. It is used to treat men with metastatic castration-sensitive prostate cancer, which is a type of cancer that has spread to other regions of the body but is still controllable, and metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer, which is a type of cancer that does not respond to hormonal therapy. Abiraterone acetate, a member of the class of androgen biosynthesis inhibitors, is present in ZYTIGA 250MG TABLET. The body naturally produces the hormone testosterone. The prostate gland's cancer cells proliferate as a result. By preventing the synthesis of the hormone testosterone, ZYTIGA 250MG TABLET prevents the development and spread of cancer.
