Description about Zytiga 250mg Tablet

Zytiga 250mg Tablet (Abiraterone Acetate) tablet is used to treat men with prostate cancer. It is not

known if Zytiga is safe for use in women or children.

Pharmacodynamics

Abiraterone acetate (Zytiga 250mg Tablet) is converted in vivo to abiraterone, which is an androgen

biosynthesis inhibitor. It inhibits 17α-hydroxylase/C17,20-lyase (CYP17). This enzyme is

expressed in testicular, adrenal, and prostatic tumor tissues. It is required for androgen

biosynthesis.

Contraindications

This medication is not indicated to the patients who already have a known allergy to any

of the ingredients of Zytiga.
