Description

Thalitero (Thalidomide) 100mg capsule is used in the treatment of multiple myeloma

and lepra reaction. The active ingredient of the Thalitero capsule is Thalidomide.

Thalidomide works to inhibit the release of tumor necrosis factor-alpha from

monocytes. It modulates other cytokine action.

Pharmacodynamics

Thalitero (Thalidomide 100mg Capsule) is an immunomodulatory agent with a spectrum of activity (not

fully characterized). Thalidomide contains both left and right-handed isomers in equal

amounts, where one enantiomer is effective against morning sickness, and the other

one is teratogenic. These enantiomers are then converted to each other in vivo.

Do not administer this medicine to patients who have an allergy to any of the

components of this medicine.
