The compound is a weak inhibitor of mammalian DNA polymerase alpha, beta, epsilon, and mitochondrial DNA polymerase gamma.
Efavirenz (Teefavir):- It is an oral non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor. This compound is a synthetic purine derivative. It is similar to zidovudine stavudine. It was originally approved to treat HIV infections and AIDS in patients who failed therapy with zidovudine.
