Overview
Palbociclib 125mg capsules are used in the treatment of breast cancer. Patients with certain breast cancer (human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative and estrogen receptor-positive) can also be treated with Palbociclib 125mg capsules. This medicine belongs to a group of cancer-fighting medications called protein kinase inhibitors. It works by blocking the action of chemicals that cause cancer cells to divide and grow. Palbociclib 125mg capsules are used in combination with another medicine, like fulvestrant, in patients with disease progression following endocrine therapy and an aromatase inhibitor (such as anastrozole, exemestane, or letrozole) as initial endocrine-based therapy in postmenopausal women or in men. Close monitoring of blood cell count is necessary while having treatment with this medicine.

Palbociclib 125mg capsules, an anticancer medicine, work by inhibiting cyclin-dependent kinase 4 and 6; as a result, cell growth ceases or stops, arresting the cancer cell cycle. Cyclin-dependent kinase 4 and 6 (chemical messengers) play an essential role in downstream signaling pathways, which lead to the proliferation of cells. It also disrupts the cell cycle by targeting estrogen (hormone) receptor-positive breast cancer cells.
