Enzalutamide is a competitive androgen receptor inhibitor present in the Xtandi 40mg capsule that affects multiple stages of the signaling pathway. This inhibits androgen receptor nuclear translocation and interaction with DNA. It also decreases proliferation and induced cell death of prostate cancer cells in vitro and decreases tumor volume.
