Imarech contains Imatinib mesylate 400mg as an active ingredient and this tablet belongs to a class of medication known as tyrosine kinase inhibitors. Imatinib 400mg tablet is used for the treatment of a type of blood cancer known as CML (chronic myeloid leukemia) ALL (Acute lymphocytic leukemia) and gastrointestinal stromal tumor. Imarech tablet inhibits the proliferation and induces apoptosis (planned cell death) in BCR-ABL positive cells (cancer cells).

Imatinib is an antineoplastic agent and a 2-phenylaminopyrimidine derivative that is used to treat chronic myelogenous leukemia. It works as a specific inhibitor of several tyrosine kinase enzymes. After the oral administration effect of this medicine can be observed in 2-4 hours.
