Overview
Chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is treated with Tenvir Tablet. Along with other anti-HIV medications, it is also used to treat HIV infection. It stops viruses from growing inside human cells. This removes your infection and prevents the virus from producing new ones. Tenvir Tablet only helps to lower the level of HIV in your body; it is not a treatment for HIV/AIDS. This extends your life expectancy and reduces your chance of developing HIV-related problems. In certain high-risk individuals, it may also be used to prevent HIV infection. Adults and adolescents between the ages of 12 and 18 can use this tablet.

As directed by your physician, take this medicine for the prescribed duration of time. Eat it all at once. Avoid chewing, crushing, or breaking it. Tenvir Tablets should ideally be taken at a set time, but they can be taken with or without food. Film-coated pills containing 300 mg of Tenvir are available. One pill per day, with or without food, is the standard suggested dosage for this drug. Adults and children weighing more than 3.5 kg are typically advised to take 300 mg of this medication daily. Because each person's medical condition is unique, your doctor will determine the dosage and frequency of administration.
It functions as a nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI) by blocking the enzymes hepatitis B DNA polymerase and HIV reverse transcriptase, which are critical for virus replication. HIV RNA is converted into DNA by the reverse transcriptase enzyme. A nucleotide analog called tab tenvir 300 mg prevents DNA synthesis by inhibiting the reverse transcriptase enzyme. It boosts CD4 (T) cells and lowers the blood's HIV viral load, allowing the immune system to fight off other infections. This reduces the possibility that a weakened immune system will become severely compromised and result in mortality.
Alcohol
unsafe
Tenvir 300mg tablets should not be taken with alcohol because alcohol may make the injection drowsy.
Pregnancy
consult your doctor
If you are pregnant, expect to get pregnant, or suspect pregnancy, let your healthcare provider know. Regular tests will be performed by your doctor to track your child's development. Before taking the 300 mg tablet of Tenvir, get advice.
Breast Feeding

Breastfeeding while infected with HIV is harmful. Patients with HBV may be able to breastfeed their baby, but first, find out more from their doctor. For additional information regarding the 300mg Tenvir tablet, speak with your physician.
