- The dosage of Furmecil Capsule is determined by the doctor based on your health condition.
- This medication should be taken orally on an empty stomach, or it can be consumed one hour before a meal or two hours after a meal. In the event of an overdose, contact your doctor immediately.
How It Works
- Furmecil Capsule is a combination anticancer medicine with gimeracil, oteracil, and tegafur. In which tegafur gets converted into 5-fluorouracil (a chemical) that interferes with the synthesis of genetic materials (RNA and DNA) in the cancer cells and slows down the progression of cancer.
- Gimeracil prevents the breakdown of 5-FU, that helps to maintain high concentrations of 5-FU against cancer cells and Oteracil suppresses 5-FU’s gastrointestinal toxicity.
