Maball 500mg Injection is used in the treatment of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL), rheumatoid arthritis, and blood cancer (chronic lymphocytic leukemia). It is an injection given under the supervision of a qualified healthcare provider. The active ingredient of Maball injection is Rituximab. It is available in a strength of 500 mg. It is a genetically engineered chimeric murine/human monoclonal antibody, which is directed against the CD20 antigen found on the surface of normal and malignant B lymphocytes.

Maball 500mg Injection links to the CD20 antigen on normal and malignant B-cells. Therefore, the essential immune system of the body is initiated to attack and then kill the marked B-cells. Stem cells in the bone marrow grow into various cell types. They do not have the CD20 antigen. After the treatment, the CD20 antigen allows the multiplication of healthy B-cells.
