The Bilbao Dotter is approved for use through the channel of the endoscope in order to provide short-duration enternal access for the delivery of nutrition or medication to the small bowel. This effective medical device is placed in the duodenum under fluoroscopic control and dilutes barium injected to fill and distend the small bowel. With insertion wire, this tube is available in polyurethane material. The guidewire of the Bilbao dotter is well lubricated for the ease of patient.

The physician places the tube into the duodenum or jejunum for the performance of a couple of gastrointestinal radiologic studies including hypotonic duodenography or enteroclysis. The Bilbao Dotter tube is also placed with the aid of a stiffening guidewire.
