Usage
This test is used to diagnose recent infections with the Chikungunya virus in suspected patients (showing symptoms) or patients who have traveled to endemic areas. Sometimes repeat testing is done after an interval of a few days to confirm the results.

Reference Range
0.79 or less - No significant levels of Chikungunya IgM antibody

0.80 – 1.09 - Possible presence of Chikungunya IgM antibody. Repeat testing is required.

1.10 or greater - Definite indication for the presence of chikungunya IgM antibody.
