Abione 250mg Tablet is an anticancer medicine prescribed to treat prostate cancer. It works by blocking the action of enzyme called CYP17. This enzyme is involved in the production of male hormone androgen as some prostate cancer depends on these hormones to grow and this medicine effectively slow dowm or stop the progression of cancer by inhibiting the action of this enzyme. In this way this tablet cuts off the fuel supply that the cancer cells need to survive.
