Description
Etoricoxib is a COX-2 selective inhibitor. Currently, Etoricoxib 90mg Tablet is indicated for the treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, chronic lower back pain, acute pain, and Gout. Just like any other COX-2 selective inhibitor, Etoricoxib 90mg Tablet selectively works to inhibit isoform 2 of the cyclo-oxygenase enzyme (COX-2) in order to reduce the generation of prostaglandins (PGs) from arachidonic acid. It is hence approved in more than 60 countries worldwide but not in the US.
