Overview
Lamipure is a formulation of Lamivudine which is a nucleoside analog and reverse transcriptase inhibitor. It is used in the treatment of individuals diagnosed with HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Syndrome) infection and HBV (Hepatitis B Virus). The regimen is also used to treat or manage AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome). Most doctors recommend Lamipure with other antiretroviral drugs for better recovery. Sometimes, it is also prescribed for the prevention of HIV infection. Lamipure (Lamivudine) tablets are available in the strength of 150 mg. HIV reverse transcriptase and HBV polymerase integrate this nucleoside analog into viral DNA, causing DNA chain termination.
