Side effects of Mekinist (Trametinib Tablet)

Dosage

Take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. Do not crush or chew. Take this medicine on an empty stomach. Take this medicine one hour before or two hours after the meals. 

Missed dose 

•  It is advisable not to miss a dose. If you miss a scheduled dose of this medicine, contact your doctor immediately. 

Overdose 

• In case of an overdose, the doctor will provide emergency medical treatment.

Usage of Mekinist (Trametinib) 

Mekinist (Trametinib) is a cancer medicine. This medicine interferes with the growth and spread and cancer cells in the body. It is also used in combination with another medicine to treat thyroid cancer and non-small cell lung cancer. Take this medicine on an empty stomach one hour before or two hours after the meals. Take this medication at the same time of the day to get the most benefits from it. Your doctor will set your dosing schedule according to your medical conditions and response to the treatment. Do not stop the use of this medicine without taking permission from your doctor. Take this medicine as prescribed by your medical advisor. Try not to miss your regular dosing schedule. Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant.

• This medicine may increase blood sugar levels.

• This medication increases the risk of eye problems like- vision change and pain in the eyes.
