Abacavir (Triumeq):- is a nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI) with activity against Human Immunodeficiency Virus Type 1 (HIV-1). It is phosphorylated to active metabolites that compete for incorporation into viral DNA. They work to inhibit the HIV reverse transcriptase enzyme competitively and act as a chain terminator of DNA synthesis.
Dolutegravir (Triumeq):- is an HIV-1 antiviral agent. It works to inhibit HIV integrase and binds to the active site. It blocks the strand transfer step of retroviral DNA integration in the host cell. During the clinical trials, it was indicated that Dolutegravir has a tight binding and longer dissociative half-life.
Lamivudine (Triumeq):- A nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI) with activity against Human Immunodeficiency Virus Type 1 (HIV-1) and Hepatitis B (HBV) to disrupt viral DNA synthesis. Lamivudine can form active metabolites when phosphorylated, that compete for incorporation into viral DNA. Via DNA incorporation, lamivudine metabolites inhibit the activity of the HIV reverse transcriptase enzyme and then act as a chain terminator of DNA synthesis.
