The Biovac A 0.5ml vaccine protects the individual from hepatitis A, which is a liver disease caused by the hepatitis A virus (HAV). It is spread by contaminated water or food or close personal contact with the infected person. The vaccine contains live attenuated hepatitis A virus. The Biovac A 0.5ml Vaccine is injected subcutaneously, typically into the upper arm muscle (deltoid), which results in the production of antibodies against the virus without causing the disease. How It Works
