Havrix 0.5ml Vaccine contains Inactivated Hepatitis A Vaccine as an active ingredient. This vaccine is used to protect against hepatitis A that is a serious liver disease caused by the hepatitis A virus (HAV).
This infection spreads via contact with contaminated water or food. It is administered by a doctor as 2 shots in the form of injection, 6 to 12 months apart and both are needed for long-term protection.
Vaccination is the best way to prevent hepatitis A.
